Ross Marscheider - Physiotherapist

Ross is the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Paediatric Intensive Care. He graduated in 2012 from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. Since qualifying, Ross has rotated through various areas of hospital physiotherapy before settling at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in 2014. This is where he became interested in cardiac disease and cardiac surgery, specialising in Cardiothoracic surgery and heart failure. This led to his appointment here at PICU Glasgow in 2020, bringing his experience in cardiac surgery.

Ross has a keen interest in quality improvement and teaching. He hopes to continue the progress of the Move on Ventilation Early (MoVE) project and promote activity and early rehab in a challenging environment.

In his spare time (which is sparse with a young family!), Ross likes to keep active himself, he is a keen runner and enjoys badminton and golf.
