Jenna graduated from GlasgowCaledonianUniversity in 2006 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. She started a Masters Degree in Advanced Practice Physiotherapy in 2015.
She worked for a short spell with the CommunityFalls team and then at Monklands Hospital for two years. Jenna always wanted to work in Paediatrics and was delighted to join the team at Yorkhill in May 2009. She initially rotated around the different physiotherapy posts, before specialising and becoming Physiotherapist for Surgical Respiratory 3 years ago. This means she is largely based in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, but still has input to the wards for children who have had surgery. She is one of three physios who you will see in and around the Unit. The physio team provide three main types of physiotherapy input within critical care including respiratory, developmental and general rehabilitation. Additionally if a child has a specific needs the team can liaise and refer to colleagues for specialist musculoskeletal or neurological physiotherapy.
