Practical Information about PICU

We hope this section will help you to understand more about our specialist Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the large team of health professionals who will be caring for your child. You may also hear the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit being called Paediatric Critical Care or Ward 1D.

In PICU, staff and parents work together. This means we are open and honest with each other, share information freely and make decisions together in the best interests of your child.
